Fifteen active programs spanning education, outreach, support, and community building — all rooted in Brooklyn.
Outreach
Our community outreach program is the front door to everything we do. Street-level outreach workers — all Brooklyn residents themselves — canvass neighborhoods, attend local events, and staff community hubs to connect people with the resources they need.
Our youth programs serve young people ages 6–24 with after-school programming, mentorship, arts and athletics, leadership academies, and college preparation. We believe Brooklyn's youth are its greatest asset — not its greatest problem.

Support
Life sometimes brings crises that feel impossible to navigate alone. Our support services team provides emergency assistance, mental health referrals, food access coordination, and one-on-one case management for individuals and families in urgent need.
GED preparation, adult reading and writing classes, and digital literacy workshops for Brooklyn adults at any stage of learning.
Tenant rights education, eviction prevention counseling, and benefits navigation to help residents maintain safe, stable housing.
Social programming, benefits enrollment assistance, and home visit check-ins for Brooklyn's elder community members.
Resume writing, interview preparation, job placement support, and connections to hiring partners across Brooklyn and NYC.
Community mural projects, cultural celebration events, and partnerships with Brooklyn arts organizations to nurture creative expression.
Structured volunteer opportunities matched to your skills, availability, and neighborhood — join over 200 active volunteers.
Safe Foundation programs are designed to be accessible. We do not require documentation, income verification, or any conditions for our core community programs. If you are a Brooklyn resident in need, we are here.
