Get involvedSafe Foundation Inc was born from a simple belief: that every Brooklyn resident deserves to feel safe, supported, and seen. We grew from a small community initiative in Gravesend into a fully registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving over twelve neighborhoods across the borough.
"A foundation doesn't just hold buildings up. It holds communities together."
Our founder, Isaac Dweck, built Safe Foundation on the values of his own immigrant community — mutual aid, shared responsibility, and the conviction that no one should face hardship alone. Those values still guide every program we run today.
Meet Our TeamReal stories from the people and families we've had the privilege of walking alongside.
"When I lost my job, I didn't know where to turn. Safe Foundation connected me with resources I didn't know existed. My kids stayed in their school. We stayed in our home."
"My son went through their youth program for two years. He graduated high school with honors and just got into college. I can't put into words what that means to our family."
"I've volunteered here for three years. The staff truly care. This isn't a program — it's a community. They know your name. They remember your story."
Whether you volunteer, donate, or refer a neighbor — every action strengthens the foundation we're building together.
